Family-run paving specialists in Mansfield
Paving Go City Ltd is a family-run business working out of Mansfield. We lay driveways, build patios and take on full garden work, and we do all three ourselves rather than subcontracting the parts that do not suit us.
That matters more than it sounds. Most gardens and frontages need a mix of trades, and the joins between them are where jobs go wrong: the drainage that nobody owned, the level that did not tie in, the fence that went up before the ground behind it was dug out. When one team handles the groundwork, the paving, the walls and the turf, those joins are ours to get right.
You deal with the people doing the work. When you call 0800 012 6773 you are talking to the business, not to a call centre selling the lead on.
Our standards
What we never cut corners on
The dig-out. A driveway or patio is only as good as the depth it is dug to. We take the old surface out, cart it away and dig down to firm ground rather than laying over the top and hoping.
The sub-base. Stone goes down and is compacted in layers, not tipped in one lift and rolled once. That is the difference between a driveway that stays flat and one that ruts where the wheels sit.
The edges. Edgings are haunched in concrete on every open edge. Block paving with no restraint spreads sideways, and once it has spread there is no fixing it without lifting the lot.
The water. We work out where surface water goes before anything covers the ground. Falls run away from the house, and where there is nothing to connect into we put a soakaway in.
The clear-up. Waste goes, the site is swept and we walk the job with you before we leave.
